This book is the first one of the author’s works which I read and also my debut in the genre of military literature. I can say that I was most imbued with the history of the Hubermann family and their close.
Alas, I had previously seen the film “The Book Thief” by director Brian Percival, and “alas” not because the movie is bad, but “alas”, because the book as a primary source is much deeper, more detailed and more fully show the events of not so long history.
It is interesting that no one other than death talk about this story. “He” doesn’t frighten, “he” is fair and logical, and “he” simply tells the story that he once read from the manuscripts to the main character Liesel Meminger, a girl from the “heavenly” street far beyond the outskirts of Munich.
This work will not leave anyone indifferent. I recommend!
